About Dawn E. Miller

Dawn E. Miller studied under Annapolis artist and llustrator ,Gerard Vajero. It was through these studies that the work of Rembrandt (light, luminositiy) Homer, (color in outdoor renderings) and Wyeth (capturing emotion)became important to Dawn. It was later in Dawn's art career that she was introduced to pastels. She realizedat that moment that she had found her medium of choice. The rich and vibrant color, the immediacy of the process, and the varierty of effects have captivated her interest formany years. During Dawn's tenure as a pastel artist, she continues to be attracted to dramatic lighting effects and captures these with careful color layering. She often returns to her love of the boater, boating, and character studies in her pastel themes.Visit my website: http://www.DawnMillerArt.com
