Barbara Landry, a Florida artist with New England roots, formally trained as a decorative artist. Redirected to oils on canvas upon moving to Florida, Barbara is a representative painter with the palette of a colorist. "Whether I paint a local landscape or a piazza in Italy, the scenes offer equal challenge and comprise my body of work." Her award winning work has been exhibited in Art in Public Places Programs such as the Florida State Capital. Works remain in permanent installations in Yolo County Superior Court in California and the First National Bank in Florida. As artist of the Easter Seal Stamp of 2005, she is a managing partner of Gallery 14, a member of the Vero Beach Art Club, The American Society of Landscape Paiinters, Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast and Florida, and The Indian River Cultural Council.
